Swiss diners have spoken: For the seventh year in a row, we are presenting the Swiss Guest Award to Switzerland’s most popular restaurants—based on over 175,000 genuine reviews from guests who booked their table via foratable and actually visited the restaurant.
Never before have so many restaurants received this honor: 760 establishments (previous year: 688) were honored with the award in 2025—an increase of 11%. The number of reviews has also risen sharply, up 17% to over 175,000 authentic pieces of feedback. This shows that genuine guest feedback is more relevant than ever—and foratable makes it measurable.
Unlike many other platforms, the Swiss Guest Award is based exclusively on actual restaurant visits. Only guests who have booked via foratable are eligible to leave a review. This ensures maximum reliability and protects against fake reviews.
• Canton of Zurich leads with 239 award-winning establishments
• Followed by: Bern (87), Aargau (86), Lucerne (78), Grisons (51)
• In the top 50 , Bern leads with 9 establishments, followed by Zurich (7) and Thurgau (5)
Several restaurants made surprisingly significant leaps forward, including:
• Gasthaus zur Waage in Windisch, Aargau – from 52nd to 5th place
• Accogliente in Wallisellen, Zurich – a new entry, debuting directly at 6th place
