Le Plat du Jour in the heart of Hamburg has been a popular destination for lovers of French cuisine since 1993 – from the classic rump steak "Bordelaise" to creative seasonal dishes. With seating for up to 60 guests on the terrace or in our elegant dining room, the bistro is committed to the highest quality and excellent service.

Until the end of 2023, Le Plat du Jour paid 400–600 euros per month in variable reservation fees to the restaurant platform Quandoo. Every invoice was different, which made budgeting and cost calculation difficult.

Since the beginning of 2024, the bistro has been using foratable, a system with no cover fees, transparent pricing, and direct customer support.
Benefits for Le Plat du Jour:
Costs cut in half: a fixed monthly fee instead of fluctuating cover fees
Direct support: no hold times, direct contact with real customer success representatives
Simple management: structured reservations and a central overview of guests, occupancy, and table planning
Fast transition: Migration in just a few hours, with everything handled by the foratable team

Predictable costs instead of unexpected fees
More time for daily operations, less effort spent on manual billing
Better planning for kitchen & service, even with full tables and special requests
Happy guests, simple booking via online channels
Le Plat du Jour opened a second restaurant in Hamburg-Pöseldorf in April 2025 – naturally also using foratable, so guests can make reservations with ease.

A reservation system with no commission-based fees provides predictability, budget control, and time savings. This is a clear advantage, especially for smaller businesses or those with seasonal fluctuations.
Le Plat du Jour shows: with the right technology, you can stay focused on what really matters – your guests and the quality of your service.
